We decided to work with this Pemberton fruit due to the outstanding south-facing site surrounded by forest. It also holds a close place in our hearts, being the closest vineyard to our favourite family holiday destination in Windy Harbour. A food-friendly style that will age well, more akin to Bordeaux blanc, than Sancerre or Marlborough. Whole bunch pressed and fermented in 50% new French oak barriques, with the remaining portion a high solids qvevri ferment.
