One of the first orange wines made in the valley and still a benchmark. Based on estate grown Chenin blanc planted in the 1940s, the grapes are destemmed and macerated on skins in imported Georgian qvevri for up to 14 days. Maturation occurs in French oak barriques for six months, before bottling unfiltered and unfined. Aromatic, with cumquat, passionfruit and preserved lemon. Juicy, long and structured palate with peppery accents. – probably our best yet, dare we say.
